Top Ten Thriller Novels

As an avid reader of mystery, suspense, and high-tension thrillers, my eyes filter through a ton of books each year. Many are just plain bad, yet I often finish them anyway, especially if they're by an author I trust.  The following list reflects the very best of the suspense thrillers I've read over the last couple of years.

In subsequent postings I will delve deeper into each of these great novels, just enough, hopefully to entice you to plant your ass in that soft worn leather easy chair and soak your eyes in the lathering pages of a fantastic read.

This list is itemized from my absolute favorite thriller at #1 (which I have read several times) through #10, which happens to be the only novel by that particular author I've been able to finish; ironically, I enjoyed it very much.

  1. Angels & Demons
    (Dan Brown.)

  2. Creepers
    (David Morrell)

  3. The Da Vinci Code
    (Dan Brown)

  4. The Woods
    (Harlan Coben)

  5. Scavenger
    (David Morrell)

  6. Map of Bones
    (James Rollins)

  7. The Newton Prophecies
    (Keith Katsikas)

  8. CELL
    (Stephen King)

  9. Chasing the Dead
    (Joe Schreiber)

  10. Life Expectancy
    (Dean Koontz)
